Ear care is important to maintaining good hearing health. Especially when you only have one functionally.

Here are some general ear care tips:
1. Proper cleaning: Avoid inserting objects into the ear to clean it, on the contrary you can use baby oil by applying 3 drops in each ear once a week only in cases where the patient has intact tympanic membranes. You can also go for cleaning with your ENT doctor once a year if you are a healthy patient or twice a year if you use hearing aids, hearing aids or have chronic ear diseases.
2. Avoid exposure to loud noise: Prolonged exposure to loud noise can damage your hearing. Wear hearing protectors, such as earplugs or noise-canceling headphones, when you are exposed to loud sounds, such as at concerts or in noisy places.
3. Be careful with sound devices: If you use headphones or headphones, keep the volume at a safe level. Avoid listening to music too loud, as this can cause long-term hearing damage.
4. Avoid getting water into the ear: When you bathe or swim, avoid getting water into your ear. Use earplugs or wear a swimming cap to protect your ears from the water. If water gets into your ear, tilt your head to the side and gently pull on your earlobe to help the water drain out.
5. See a doctor if you have problems: If you experience ear pain, hearing loss, persistent ringing in the ears, or other concerning symptoms, it's important to see a doctor or an ear, nose, and throat specialist (otolaryngologist). They will be able to perform an examination and provide you with appropriate treatment if necessary.
6. Avoid ototoxic medications; that is, those that damage the functionality of the ear, such as antibiotics such as Amikacin or Gentamicin, as well as Aspirin in high doses. Always ask your doctor if the medications are safe for your ear.
7. Avoid contact sports such as karate, boxing, diving, diving, etc. Remember that each person is unique and specific care may vary according to individual needs. It is always advisable to follow the advice of a medical professional in case you have any concerns or problems related to hearing.
